KVM70 Symbols and Test Chart

Test chart sent by KVM 70, Honolulu, which also contains some nice info on how to read the fax weather charts.

The US National Weather Service (NWS) of National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration (NOAA)provides these charts. Unlike the other stations, however, KVM 70 is operated by the US government, not the US Coast Guard. It shows as Department of Commerce in some records, but is identified in its own materials as Department of Defense.
