Hugh Even Further Succumbs

OK... Hugh's Ominous Blog is now in its third incarnation. I'm hoping the ads aren't too obtrusive. I swore I'd never do this to my users, but sometimes the ends justify the means. I no longer had hours a day to hand-code the blog and try to get all the details right.

And we have to get it right this time. Consider this: the US military and government are now consciously using the civilian news media as a force multiplier. Those who can still get into .mil domains are referred to a paper typical of its sort, from the Army War College. This one is called, "Winning CNN Wars: Words are the new bullets, Satellites the new artillery." This is how it is now, folks. Those nice-appearing news people are a weapon system. They are NOT your friends.

Meanwhile, current theories suggest global warming killed off the dinosaurs. Not a catastrophic asteroid hit, though fossil record suggests that happened too. No, just plain old global warming.

Are we the dinosaurs this go-round? An analysis of current US culture would sure suggest so. I want a fate better for the human race than self-generated extinction, and if you do too, you will help take the news media back from the Pentagon.

Just like that clock on The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, this one is ticking away..........
